Well it's been a while, a LONG while!!

We have been busy with school, life and everything in between.

We finished up school last year in like mid-July and planned to start back in September, but my daughter had a bad accident and was in the hospital and rehab from September 3, 2015 to November 21, 2016.  It's a long road ahead, but she is doing great.

So school had been put on hold for a bit and we finally got the 2015 - 2016 school year started in January.

We also found out in 2015 that Curtis DOES indeed have Dyslexia along with Dysgraphia, Dyspraxia and Dyscalculia.  I am really glad that we finally got a REAL diagnosis so that our county school administrators can understand why Curtis does not work at his grade level per his age.

Wow, what else happen in 2015???  A lot really, but those were the 2 main events. :)

Lets see, what else has been happening???

We started raising rabbits, a few different breeds basically.  We are raising a meat breed, New Zealand and Californian (they will be mixed) and then we raising a pet breed, Harlequin and Dutch mixed with Mini Lops and Rex, basically a mutt meat breed or pet. :)

We got our first 6 the weekend of Easter, actually the day before.  These were all free with cages, feeders, food, water bottles, everything.

Then we got 2 more with some bartering.  Got a momma Dutch and one of her offspring, a little buck that is Dutch and Harlequin mixed.  Then we got 2 more little does that are Dutch/Mini Lop and Rex mixed.  Can't wait for babies this spring.

Of course we ended up with one litter already from Momma and Buddy on 8/18/15, she had 7 kits and they were all wonderfully healthy.  We ended up keeping 3 of them.  Here is one of the babies.  They are 6 months old now.

Meet Stewie!!!

After making my oldest son's TMNT hats for Christmas he went to work the following week and a guy he works with just loved the one he had on.  So this guy says "where did you get that?" my son replies, "my mom made it along with others" so then the guy says "Dude, can she make Stewie?"

So my son asks if I can make a "Stewie" hat for this guy and I am like "WHAT is a Stewie?".  Well turns out he meat the little baby from "Family Guy".  I don't watch this show, but have seen some previews.

Anyway I said sure, it couldn't be that hard.  Well here is "Stewie"

Strange looking little thing, but the guy LOVED IT and now he is wanting me to make something for his Autistic brother.  He has to get back to me on the characters name.

Kitty's say Hello to Spiderman!

For all of my granddaughters and grandson this past Christmas I made them Hello Kitty and Spiderman crocheted hats and scarves to match.  They loved them!!!

For the Love of .... Crochet

I use to watch my grandmother crochet all the time, but never learned myself.  Now my grandmother is gone and I have longed to learn the art of crochet.  So 3 years ago I got myself a new Teach Yourself to Crochet book and DVD and some new hooks and I set out to teach myself.  The first thing I made was a wrap or something like a wrap anyway.

I couldn't even tell you what this stitch is. LOL  I got the idea pattern from here  http://www.redheart.com/free-patterns/wrap.  I didn't do it exactly like the pattern, but its okay, I like it.

Now I have crocheted many items including a blanket for my youngest son.  See picture below.  I made this just last year and he swears you could cook a turkey in it. LOL

Wow, what a night!!!

Well last night, June 29, 2012 was fun.  We had a wind storm that came through.  It swept through with 80 and 90 mph winds and did some major damage in a lot of hometowns.  I will find some photos and post them.  We were lucky I guess.  We did not lose our power for more than a minute and our property did not suffer any damage, thank God for that.

Well got storms again on Saturday night, June 30 and then some REALLY bad stuff last night, July 1.  Actually it was July 2nd because it came in a midnight!  We were lucky though, we didn't have any damages.
